What Kind of Clay Are You?

By Christina Kopriva, MD | October 05, 2015

Isaiah 64:8: Yet you, LORD, are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand.

I heard a sermon this week that talked about people as the clay and how God molds us into whatever He needs us for. God gave me a picture of soft versus hardened clay. If we stay flexible and responsive, then with just a little pressure he can shape and mold us. However, if we let the world harden us then He will have to mold us with a hammer and chisel. How painful our molding (or trials) are may be a reflection of how malleable we are for God.
