APA PSYCHIATRY SECTION MEETINGS
Join CMDA's Psychiatry Section at the American Psychiatry Association's Annual Meeting each year. Throughout the conference, we hold a variety of special events specifically for members of the Psychiatry Section.
2019 APA Psychiatry Section Meeting
May 18-22, 2019 • San Francisco, CA
We will have a full agenda of meetings for our members and guests as we seek to challenge and encourage each other in integrating faith and practice. Begin praying now that members will feel led to participate, residents will feel led to engage and commit and interns will seek wisdom regarding the field of psychiatry and seek us out for information. We hope you can join us. Our normal meetings on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday will encourage and challenge attendees in both personal and professional matters. A link will be added in the future so that you can view the agenda and activities and events we will sponsor. The site will be built as the plans are developed. Check back often.

2018 CMDA National Convention

The Psychiatry Section sponsored an afternoon session on Friday with a focus on Mentoring, Burnout/Resilience, and Sexual Dysphoria. We heard from Steve Sartori, MD, Director of CMDA’s Life and Leadership Coaching ministry as he discussed Burnout among doctors and health care professionals. Dr. Samuel Thielman, MD. PhD, Director of Still Waters Global LLC, provided insights into his experiences with resilience in his practice as a State Department consultant as well as in his private practice. Finally, Paul Hruz, MD, PhD, Associate Professor at Washington University, provided insights into Sexual Dysphoria in Children.
