The ministries of CMDA come to their most important focus at the community level where practicing doctors, academic doctors, residents and students live out the person of Christ. Local ministry groups are an integral component of bringing the medical community of Christ followers together to connect for discipleship outreach through local and international ministries and person accountability.
Local ministry groups develop when God places a common vision upon the hearts of doctors practicing in a community to better equip, motivate, disciple and serve their students and colleagues. A local council is often formed to share the vision and responsibility for helping each other live out God's best plan for their lives.
