Who is eligible for membership?
All Christian healthcare professionals are welcome to join CMDA, including physicians, dentists, physician assistants, nurses, physical therapists, PhDs in academic programs, etc.
Associate health professionals join CMDA as associate members. Associate members receive all the benefits of other members, with the exception of the right to vote or hold office.
What are the dues associated with being a member?
We offer various levels of membership dues based on your individual status. We try to structure membership dues to accommodate all healthcare professionals who would like to be members. Are the annual dues tax deductible?
Yes, the annual dues for CMDA are tax deductible for the fullest extent allowed by law.
If I join in the middle of the year, will my dues pay for one full year or just through the end of December?
Your dues will pay for one full year and you will receive anniversary billing going forward. For example, if you join in June 2012, you will be invoiced again in June 2013.
My spouse is also a doctor, is there a discount for spouse members?
Yes, we offer a discount for spouse members. We place a great deal of value on the importance of medical and dental marriages, we offer free membership to one spouse when the other pays full dues. Click here for more information about membership levels.

Do I have to be a member in order to attend a CMDA conference?
No, you are not required to be a member to attend a CMDA conference. However, our members receive a significant discount on the registration fees of most of our conference in addition to many other exclusive benefits.
Do I have to be a member to participate in short-term mission trips?
No, membership is not required for participants on our short-term mission trips. However, we do encourage team members to join CMDA. Members may be charged lower team registration fees, for example. Some teams offer opportunities for a diverse group of people, such as logistic assistants, translators, worship leaders, etc., who play a crucial role in short term teams. Those who are not in healthcare specialties can join CMDA under the "Friends and Spouses" category. Visit our different mission outreaches to learn more.
