TESTIMONIALS FROM A PARTICIPANT ON A RECENT ETHIOPIA MISSION TRIP
" I thought I was going to Nepal...too many at the last minute, made the team too large. I stepped aside with a heavy heart, as I had worked hard to plan for this trip. Yet I knew God had a plan for me, He always does. For me, it turned out that perhaps He wanted me to keep my eyes on Him.
Ethiopia was an incredible experience. The team was each chosen by God for a purpose, not to do as we planned but to obey His voice. I had no instrustions, as all others were medical staff and were busy setting up clinic. My heart went out to the people waiting in long lines, who were hurting in ways I didn't even understand. With God holding my right hand, I went to the fence where it was said over 1,000 people waited to get in. Some pressed hard to reach out and take hold of my hand. I reached out to them as the thorns from the bushes pressed into my legs, all I could think of was the pain that my Savior endured as the thorns cut into His body for me. THe pain He suffered I would never know. Yet He was holding my hand as I shared with these people His love for them. I will never forget the faces of those who prayed to receive Christ, and I will never forget their names."
TESTIMONIALS FROM THE TEAM LEADER ON A RECENT MISSION TRIP TO NEPAL
"At lunch one day a few of us prayed where to walk, in order to share the gospel as we might have oppotunity. We went by a home that warmly welcomed us in. The son brought out his 100 year old father for us to meet. This gentleman was very gracious and glad to meet us. He had never heard of Jesus, and he and his son wanted to hear of Him. The old man seemed very thoughtful about all of this. The next day when we returned to see him, he wished to accept Christ as his Lord and Ssvior! One hundred years old - never having heard the Gospel - but loved by God - who opened his heart to the Good News that He brought us to tell him!"

TESTIMONIAL FROM A DOCTOR WHO SERVED ON A GHO MISSION TRIP TO HAITI
"through the use of ultrasound, women were able to see God's creation of life, and hearts were turned to Him. One young woman gave her heart to Jesus after she had the opportunity to watch her 12 week old unborn baby dance for Jesus on the ultrasound. Another woman chose life over abortion as she witnessed God's knitting together of life in her womb"
From Dr. Mike O'Callaghan, dentist and team leader on GHO Mission trip to Cambodia
in February 2011:
“Our national partners did a wonderful job with the clinic site selection. They prayed our way into two different pagodas. This was the first time that any of them were aware of a Christian mission occurring in such a location (Buddhist holy ground). We were able to hand out tracts, give Bibles to literate folks who received Christ, share the Gospel with dozens of monks, etc. Our national partners told us that if we were a group of Cambodian doctors, there would have been a fist fight in the pagoda and we would have been driven out by force.”
“The health care students (medical, dental, midwife) function as our translators. Perhaps half are believers (often very strong in their faith having already faced persecution, shunning and rejection by family, etc.). The other half are Buddhists who are “along for the ride”. But of course God is always at work. One avowed Buddhist told the team at the end of the trip that he is considering becoming a Christian but is fearful of his family’s reaction.”
