Categories of Membership
To help you better understand how your current status fits best within the ministry of CMDA, below is a list of membership categories with a brief description of each. If you wish to review the dues rates for any of these categories, please click here for a complete list.
Graduate Doctors (MD, DO, DDS, DMD, DPM, PhD)
This membership category is reserved for those holding the above listed degrees who are Practicing Doctors, Academics or Uniformed Service. Special discounts are offered for those in their first year of practice or Uniformed Services.
Retired
This membership category is reserved for those who have retired from a healthcare profession. Discounted rates are given and are explained on the Dues & Discounts Information page. Click here for details.
Missionary This membership category is reserved for anyone living / serving on the mission field who is involved in the practice of healthcare.
Lifetime Membership
This membership category is reserved for those who wish to support the ministry of CMDA with a one-time dues gift. Lifetime membership is based on age and more information can be found by clicking here;or if you prefer to discuss your membership with a service associate over the phone, please call our office at 1/888-230-2637.
Residents & Fellows
This membership category is reserved for anyone extending their training through a residency program or fellowship
Students - Medical / Dental / Allied Health or PhD
This membership category is reserved for anyone pursuing a Medical, Dental, PhD or Allied Health degree
Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Students
This membership category is reserved for those students in undergraduate programs who plan to pursue a degree in healthcare.
Allied Health Professionals
This membership category is reserved for anyone involved in healthcare as a professional and is not covered in either of the previous two categories. Examples of the qualifying degrees are: PA**, PharmD, RN, NP, etc…
International
This membership category is reserved for anyone who is involved in healthcare and is not a resident of the US or Canada.
Friend
This membership category is reserved for those individuals who are not involved in healthcare, but wish to support the ministry of CMDA by partnering with us.
Spouse
This membership category is reserved for those who are the spouse of a current or former member and is not involved in healthcare, but wish to support the ministry of CMDA. If you qualify for membership under one of the categories shown above, please select that option and note on your application your spouse is a member.
Non-Healthcare Organization
This membership category is reserved for those companies that are not involved in the field of healthcare, but wish to show support for the ministry of CMDA by partnering with us.
