The Christian Medical Association is the nation's largest
organization of faith-based doctors, and serves as a Christian voice on
today's most important bioethical issues. CMA responds to breaking

Meet CMDA's Leaders
David Stevens, MD, MA (Ethics)
Chief Executive Officer
Dr. David Stevens is the Chief Executive Officer of the Christian
Medical Association, the nation’s largest faith-based organization
of doctors. Dr. Stevens, as spokesman for more than 15,000 doctors, has
conducted hundreds of media interviews, including NBC's Today Show, NBC
Nightly News, MSNBC, BBC-World Television, Newsweek, JAMA, USA Today,
CNN Sunday Morning, CNN News Site and National Public Radio. He has also
appeared on Focus on the Family, FOX Family Channel, PAX-Television,
Tech TV, The Odyssey Channel, America's Health Network and many other
national outlets.
Prior to his service with CMA, Dr. Stevens served as medical director
of Samaritan’s Purse. In Somalia, Dr. Stevens led an emergency
medical team that treated 45,000 suffering Somalis in the midst of war.
In the Sudan, medical teams under his leadership treated over 25,000
villagers to stop the spread of an epidemic.

Dr. Gene Rudd
Senior Vice-President
Dr. Rudd is a specialist in obstetrics/gynecology, and has extensive
experience as a director of a maternal-fetal medicine training program
and in rural healthcare practice. He has garnered several awards
including the Gorgas Medal, presented by the U.S. government for the
most significant achievement in preventive medicine. As a spokesman for
Christian doctors in America, Dr. Rudd has received national media
coverage, including interviews with the Washington Post and People
Magazine.
Dr. Rudd has also conducted international programs with World Medical
Mission, where he established the Christian Medical Mission of Russia.
He directed the rehabilitation of the Central Hospital in Kigali,
Rwanda. Dr. Rudd has also served in Belarus, Bosnia, Kazakhstan, and
India.
