Trip Details: We are thankful that you
are prayerfully considering this trip. It is always a blessing to step
out in faith and move forward with the leading of the Lord.
This August trip is designed for any and all people who have a heart
of service and it would be a great trip for families and first time
mission adventurers. No medical or dental experience is necessary.
We will be serving in the village of Villa Sandino which
is about 190 km from Managua.
Villa Sandino, the municipality of Managua belongs to the
Chontales department. The city covers an area of seven hundred and
ninety seven square kilometers and as of 1995 the city bears a
population of fourteen thousand seven hundred and forty three.
Before its formation the city was called as Villa Hermosa. Villa Sandino
traces its origin to the ancient village of Pueblo Viejo. The current
name of the city was named after the national hero Augusto C. Sandino.
Villa Sandino, with a humid tropical savanna climate, is a
beautiful and picturesque city having a number of cultural myths and
festivities. The mind-blowing beauty of nature draws the attention of
tourists who are fond of exploring the natural beauty. The city has a
number of beliefs and related festivities which people celebrate with
pleasure and delight.
The team will use its corporate gifts and talents to partner with the
local evangelical churches to bring the love and compassion of Jesus to
the towns peoples and advance the the gospel of Christ through the
medical and dental clinic. The other ministries within the clinic will
include eyeglasses, children’s ministry, home visits, and probably
some community service.
Rolando Castillo, our in country missionary, has partnered with the
local pastors who together will prepare the way for team to serve them
and their communities.
Please join us as we will be used of the Lord in unimaginable ways
and I trust your lives will never be the same. May the Lord richly bless
you as you seek to honor and serve Him.
