Trip Details: Global Health Outreach has been
going to different regions of Ethiopia for ten years and it is a great
joy for us to join our national partners, The Great Commission Ethiopia
(Campus Crusade for Christ in Ethiopia) and serve with them in Jimma,
Ethiopia. We are planning to give care to those in great
need in this urban area and host a pastors conference to aid and
encourage pastors in a country where 98% of the pastors have never
attended bible school or seminary. We will literally be
joining Paul and Luke together as we labor in the vineyard in
Ethiopia. This team is a wonderful opportunity for you to invite
your pastor along to teach national pastors and invest in the
spiritual leadership of Ethiopia.

Ethiopia
This year we are going with our national partners to Jimma, a
city classified as an unreached people group and the largest city
in southwestern Ethiopia. It is in the Oromia Region.
According to the Central Statistical Agency of Ethiopia in 2005,
this town had an estimated population of 159,009. It is one
of the greatest market areas in southwestern Ethiopia and on a good day
in the dry season can attract 30,000 people to the area. It is a
Muslim dominated city with 98% of the population being Muslim.
We have the joy of demonstrating the love and compassion of Christ to
our new friends in Jimma in a very material way and to do a regional
pastors and church leaders conference in the area. These
activities will allow us to bridge the gap of understanding and
friendship through being followers of Jesus and prayerfully develop open
doors for The Great Commission Ethiopia who will follow-up while
working with pastors and church planting.
What a great opportunity to serve the risen Lord and to truly
demonstrate Emmanuel, God is with us, as we bring the way the
truth and the life into full view of those who are without help and
without hope.
We are in need of physicians, dentists, pastors, nurses, dental
assistants, physical therapists, and particularly a diagnostic
radiologist to do ultrasonography.
Please feel free to give me a call and be willing to pray about this
mission and to see if the Lord would have you join us in serving
Him. You can not out give the Giver. David said in
Scripture, “I will not give unto the Lord a sacrifice that costs
me nothing.” Are you ready?
