Trip Details: Global Health Outreach has been
going to different regions of Ethiopia for ten years and it is a great
joy for us to join our national partners, The Great Commission Ethiopia
(Campus Crusade for Christ in Ethiopia) and serve with them in Jimma,
Ethiopia. We are planning to give care to those in great
need in this urban area and host a pastors conference to aid and
encourage pastors in a country where 98% of the pastors have never
attended bible school or seminary. We will literally be
joining Paul and Luke together as we labor in the vineyard in
Ethiopia. This team is a wonderful opportunity for you to invite
your pastor along to teach national pastors and invest in the
spiritual leadership of Ethiopia.

Jimma is the largest city in southwestern Ethiopia. It is
located 300 km SW of Addis Ababa in the Jimma Zone of the Oromia
Region. Jimma was the capital of Kaffa Province until the province
was dissolved. Based on the figures from the Central Statistical
Agency in 2005 this town has an estimated total population of 159,009 of
whom 80,897 are male and 78,112 are female. Jimma is
dominated by Muslims and has less than 2 percent Christians in the
community.
Our mission will be a great opportunity to reflect the love and
likeness of our Lord and Savior as we serve the least, the lost, and the
last and demonstrate in a very material way the compassion and glory of
the risen Lord. Join us as we go with great joy to be a blessing
while we serve Christ, share Christ and grow in Christ.
Vaccination Information: Wondering what
immunizations you’ll need for the mission trip? Please refer to
the Centers for Disease
Control website.
