Pastor Mauricio Barrientos, pastor of Santa Ana Oasis Church, is our
host leader, and the Oasis church team from Santa Ana will serve to
coordinate the preparations for our team in El Salvador.
Scope of Work
We will be working mainly in the city of Chalchuapa, a city of
100,000 people. Chalchuapa is a city where Oasis Ministries has a local
church, and has been given a piece of land to build a new church
building and school to reach the city. By serving the people in this
area we will be bringing much needed medical and dental care to poverty
stricken people, and we will be assisting in the development of a church
that Pastor Barrientos and Oasis Ministries is trying to build.
Medicines
The types of cases we will deal with will be typical to that region:
parasites, skin fungus, worms, gastro intestinal problems, infections,
coughs, colds, flu, body aches, and respiratory diseases, etc. Medicines
needed include: Pain relievers, anti acids, anti fungals, anti
histamines, anti biotics, analgesics, anti malarials, anti diabetics,
vitamins (children, adult, prenatal) and anti parasitics, etc.
People Needed
Doctors and students are needed: Primary care physicians
(Family Practice, Pediatric, OB/GYN, Internal Medicine) dentists,
ophthalmologists and optometrists, pharmacists, and physical therapists.
Students in medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, physical therapy, and
optometry are needed.
Because we can only take a limited number of people on this trip,
registrations will be on a first come first serve basis. In order to be
considered registered you will need to turn in the Global Health
Outreach application with a $150 deposit to the CMDA office in Bristol,
TN.
