Do we have the mission trip for you!
Ever come back from a mission trip and wonder "Did I really make a
difference? " You will not have this question in your mind
after serving in Gualaquiza. You will make a
difference.
This team will work with a church plant of the Verbo church of Cuenca
Ecuador. This will be a second visit to Gualaquiza with a GHO
team. Gualaquiza is in southeast Ecuador. We will have a clinic in
the local Verbo church. Additionally, there will be surgery in the local
hospital. Our patients will consist of those with a mixed heritage
of Spain and native Ecuadorians.
We desire to have family physicians, pediatricians , PA and/or Nurses
Practitioners available for the daily clinic. Surgeons and
surgical nurses will work in the hospital.
Spiritual Aspect - We can pray for and with
patients at the hospital and the clinic. Local church members will be
available at the clinic for one on one counseling and evangelism.
Gualaquiza church services give us an opportunity to worship and
share with our team and the local church members.
Daily team devotions, sharing, and debriefing give us a time to bond,
worship, and encourage each other.
Accommodations - The local hotel has basic
accommodation. Small rooms, sometimes hot water, basic meals.
The hotel does have other accommodations across the street with a
swimming pool, sauna, and large meeting area.
Ecuador has 110 electricity. Currency is USA dollars.
Relaxation - Gualaquiza has small town
atmosphere . We walk to clinic and to the hospital. This
will give us the opportunity to fellowship with each other to and from
clinic. On the last day before going back to the U.S., we will
have a day in Quito to visit the equator park, the native market, or
send an email home.
Again, I ask the question...Want to join me in making a
difference? Sign up today!!
