I am very excited to lead the team to Valladolid this year! God has an amazing way of changing lives through missions, and he has given me a burning desire to join him.

 

I‘ve spent most of my life in the northwest, and have lived in Portland Oregon with my wonderful husband of 23 years ever since  we came here for my residency in 1990. John is not in medicine, but joined us last year and helped immensely with logistics. We have 2 children, Steven age 12 and Sophie age 9. I am fortunate to practice Ob Gyn part time so I can volunteer at school, and with our local pregnancy resource center. We also enjoy our family times volunteering at Young Life camps. In my free time I love to run, ski, hike, cook and share time with family and friends.

 

This will be my fourth mission to Mexico, but my first to Valladolid and my first as team leader. Ross Rumph who has led the last three teams has been an incredible mentor, and I pray I can even begin to have a reflection of his servant’s heart.
