CMDA Northeast Region Report By Scott Boyles, Northeast Regional Director
Dear Friend, Greetings from CMDA’s northeast office! I hope all is well with
you and yours as the beautiful colors of fall are slowly overtaken by
the crisp winds of winter. The fall has been filled with opportunities to see what God has been
doing in the lives of His people in healthcare. I have enjoyed the
chance to see God raising up leaders amongst our students, residents,
and attendings and to fill in gaps in our infrastructure. In
Philadelphia, for example, there are few graduates or official staff
workers to come alongside our student leaders at the six area schools.
Riding on the stiff breeze of enthusiasm following this year’s
Summer Medical Institute, area student leaders created a network called
InterMed to encourage Christian community amongst the Christians at
Philadelphia area schools. I had the privilege of attending their first
retreat recently, where sixty-plus students gathered to share lives in
small-groups and hear two area physicians share from their lives and
God’s word. Also in attendance were several attendings who are
interested in spending more time with local students as mentors. Your continued interest in and support for CMDA’s Northeast
regional ministry really helps make it all happen. Please continue to
tell your friends and colleagues about this ministry and encourage them
to be a part of CMDA Northeast. May God bless you and yours as you follow Him!
