Dr. Phillips has recently joined us as the Specialty Coordinator for
Ophthalmology. He is from Chicago, and is married to Cleo, a nurse. They
have three adult children and two grandchildren. He graduated from
Roosevelt University in Chicago with a B.S. in Biology, University of
Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine, and completed his internship in
Medicine and residency in Ophthalmology at Cook County Hospital in
Chicago. He also completed a fellowship in Glaucoma at the University of
Illinois Chicago.
Dr. Phillips is on the staff at the University and is a Clinical
Asst. Professor in Ophthalmology. He has been in private practice for 27
years. He will be receiving a M.A. in Theology this summer and
is a candidate for a D.Min in Theology upon completion of dissertation;
from the International College of Excellence; Life Christian University.
He also completed the Short-Term Missions course at King College; Center
for Global Healthcare. Dr. Phillips is the medical director of the
missions department at his church, Family Harvest in Tinley Park
Illinois and the International College of Excellence. He has organized
short- term mission trips and joined Global Health Outreach on the Ghana
trip in October 2006.
